In the old GTA games, you couldn’t enjoy co-op gameplay in the story mode (except if you used unofficial mods), and multiplayer was the only way to team up.
But now, in the upcoming GTA game, some leaked stuff hints that this might not be the case anymore. So, what’s the deal with this?
Does GTA 6 Feature Co-op Gameplay in Singleplayer Mode?
The fact that there have been no specific leaks about the online mode of GTA 6, where you can team up and enjoy the co-op features.
While the inclusion of an online mode remains uncertain, there is a high possibility that GTA 6 will feature cooperative gameplay between the two protagonists, according to some research from a member of Reddit.
Specifically, this user claimed that he had discovered some exciting features from the menu showcased in the leak.
There are 5 available actions: “Action List”, “Source States”, “Action Context”, “Scenarios”, and “Conditional Actions”. However, this user explained that he could only see the “Action List” from the leak.
All actions in the Action List, as he described, are associated with the protagonist’s behavior in specific situations.
These actions can include crouching, going prone, performing melee attacks, attempting melee grapples, and even surrendering, each with its own respective requirements or status.
For instance, the protagonist cannot perform the grapple action if there’s no one nearby to grapple.
Additionally, actions such as “Downed Self Revive” and “Buddy Comms” hint at cooperative play, suggesting teamwork and coordination between players.
Nevertheless, this user unfortunately didn’t attach the video that leaked all this information, leaving all of us in confusion. Scrolling through the comment section, many members have shown interest in this information.
In September, there was also a video that showcased the interaction between the two protagonists and the action menu. However, this leaked video has been deleted.
