Compared to previous versions, it’s really noticeable that the developers have put a lot of effort into the main character’s hair and beard. Textures, styles, and a wide variety of haircuts have been brought into the world of GTA 5.

However, it’s evident that the hair and beard growth in GTA 5 is quite unrealistic. Basically, the protagonist’s hair and beard won’t naturally grow over time, and they only change when you visit a hair salon and choose a style you prefer.

Fortunately, the developers could potentially redesign this in the upcoming GTA 6 version. According to a recent post on X, there’s a rumor that the hair and beard of the two main characters, Jason and Lucia, will grow over time.

Although this feature might not have significant impacts, it will bring authenticity and perspective to the characters over time.
