While firearms offer tactical strength, they can sometimes have drawbacks. On the other hand, melee weapons bring versatility and prove highly effective when engaging enemies at close range.

All 12 Melee Weapons in GTA 5
In GTA 5, there are 12 melee weapons, all of which share the same advantage of being highly efficient in close-range combat.
Additionally, some of these weapons can deliver a one-hit kill, making them exceptionally deadly choices.
To use any weapon, hold “Tab” to open up the weapon menu, then move the mouse to the melee option and scroll up or down to navigate the desired one.
1. Antique Cavalry Dagger
Antique Cavalry Dagger is a melee weapon that can kill a single person in the first attempt. This dagger can be purchased at the Ammu-Nation store for $2,000.
2. Baseball Bat
Similar to the Antique Cavalry Dagger, you can kill a single enemy with just one swing using the baseball bat. However, it’s unavailable to buy in Ammu-Nation.

3. Bottle
The Bottle causes a bit more harm than the Knife and the same level of damage as the Antique Cavalry Dagger. It can be acquired for a price of $300 in Ammu-Nation.
4. Crowbar
The Crowbar is light and simple to carry, allowing the user to launch attacks quickly, ensuring efficiency quickly. However, the damage it inflicts is relatively low when compared to larger melee weapons.
Similar to the Baseball bat, you can’t purchase the Crowbar in the shop. Instead, you can find it in other places, such as at the western edge of Marina Drive, Sandy Shores.
5. Fist
In GTA 5, you can also attack other people with your bare hands. However, the damage from your fist is pretty low, as you need at least 3 or 4 attempts to knock out 1 person.
6. Golf Club
The Golf Club possesses moderate power and a long reach, enabling you to strike multiple enemies if they are closely grouped. It can be swung while standing still or while moving.
You’ll get a Gold Club after playing a round of golf at Lost Santos Golf Club, Richman.
7. Hammer
When swung from the proper distance, the Hammer can strike the victim’s face, instantly incapacitating them or potentially causing lethal damage.
It can also dent and remove vehicle parts, and if swung repeatedly, it can eventually damage a vehicle to the extent that it catches fire.
The Hammer is available for $500 in Ammu-Nation.
8. Hatchet
The Hatchet is a compact and sharp melee weapon that can deal significant damage (requiring two hits to kill), much like the Knife and the Antique Cavalry Dagger.
You can get the Hatchet for $750 from Ammu-Nation.
9. Knife
The Knife is handy for close encounters but lacks the sheer force of the Crowbar or the Nightstick. You can purchase it from Ammu-Nation for $100.
10. Knuckle dusters
An upgraded version of Fist, Knuckle Dusters takes at least two punches to subdue them, which makes it a good option to encounter. Additionally, it can also knock down targets with stealthy attacks.
The Knuckle Dusters is available at Ammu-Nation for $7,500.
11. Machete
Depending on the player’s stance, a single Machete swing can be fatal when striking the target’s ribs from the sides or directly in the middle of the forehead.
At Ammu-Nation, the Machete can be purchased for a price of $8,900.
12. Nightstick
The Nightstick is extremely effective in attacking due to its compact size. Its longer length provides a better range than bare Fists. In terms of damage, it is equivalent to the Hammer and the Crowbar.
As one of the most common melee weapons in GTA 5, the Nightstick can be purchased in Ammu-Nation for $100. Still, you can get it from police officers or security guards.
