According to reports, hundreds of employees at Rockstar North have signed a petition supported by the IWGB union, which is putting more pressure on Rockstar Games.
The growing disagreement is over working conditions, transparency, and how employees are treated, raising serious concerns about the studio’s labor practices as it works on GTA 6, one of the most anticipated games of the decade.
200 Rockstar Employees Disagrees With The Recent Firing
More than 200 Rockstar North employees have signed a letter calling for the immediate reinstatement of 31 coworkers who were fired in October. Protests are still going on outside of the developer’s office in Edinburgh and Take-Two Interactive’s headquarters in London.

On November 13, a letter was delivered to senior management accusing Rockstar of firing members of the Independent Workers’ Union of Great Britain.
Staff claim the dismissals were related to union activity, which the IWGB has described as the “most ruthless act of union busting in the history of the gaming industry.”
Rockstar Games and UK Parliament
Following the termination of more than thirty employees in a single day, Rockstar Games is currently facing pressure from the United Kingdom Parliament.

A page in X called “GTA 6 Countdown” shared a video that showed Rockstar Games being talked about in the UK parliament.
Will This Mean Trouble For Rockstar Games?
The growing support for the IWGB-backed petition could mean that Rockstar Games will have to deal with real problems in the future.
Hundreds of employees have raised concerns, which could hurt morale, productivity, and even the studio’s public image. If this disagreement isn’t settled, it could lead to more attention from industry watchdogs, delays in projects that are already in progress, and a growing push for unionization across the company.
Rockstar has been through scandals before, but the size of this internal movement suggests that the studio may need to do something significant to avoid worse long-term effects.
